A Vertiv Customer Service Engineer is responsible for working on all aspects of our electrical and thermal equipment; You will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of these systems, whilst establishing, promoting, and maintaining Vertiv’s reputation by building excellent rapport with our customers and stakeholders with all your professional interactions.

What will you do in our team?
* Undertake and complete successfully the Vertiv training programme
* Keep and update training records as required within the apprenticeship framework to achieve training targets
* Assist Field Service Engineers/Technicians in the following service activities:
* Providing a Commissioning, Maintenance and Repair service on all equipment supplied or maintained by Vertiv
* Fault finding and rectification
* Carry out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to required standards
* Identify opportunities for extra works and preventative recommendations
* Remedial work to contract customers either as planned work or as a call out facility
* Completion and submission of relevant reports to service administration within a timely manner following all site activity

Entry requirements
Qualifications: Four GCSEs at A-C/4-9 or equivalent, including both Maths and English
Must have full clean UK driving license

Training to be Provided
What will you do in our team?
This apprenticeship will allow you to work alongside our Engineers assisting in service activities, whilst completing a qualification to become a qualified UPS Field Service Engineer. This will enhance your understanding of the need for secure power/thermal cooling within the world of critical data centre infrastructure, benefitting from hands on experience in the workplace combined with innovative academic learning.
Apprenticeship standard: Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician - One day a week for the apprenticeship duration.
Future Prospects
On successful completion of your apprenticeship a full-time placement within the company may be offered.
