About the Role: We are recruiting for an ambitious and skilled Registered Manager to lead a 6-bed Children's Learning Disabilities and Autism (LD&A) home in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager or a deputy manager ready to take the next step in their career. The home currently holds a 'GOOD' rating from Ofsted, and we are seeking a leader to maintain and build upon this high standard of care. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all residents. Ofsted Compliance: Maintain the home's 'GOOD' Ofsted rating by adhering to all regulatory standards and implementing best practices. Staff Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of dedicated care professionals, promoting continuous development and a positive team culture. Person-Centred Care: Ensure individualised care plans are developed and implemented for each child, focusing on their unique needs and promoting their well-being. Stakeholder Communication: Build strong relationships with parents, local authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to further enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency of the home. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a similar setting, or a Deputy Manager ready to step up. Experience in LD&A services is highly desirable. Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and the specific needs of children with learning disabilities and autism. Skills: Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills with a focus on team-building and problem-solving.
