Business Manager - Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics
Location: Leeds
Salary: circa £40,000 + Up to 20% bonus
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a Multi-Award Winning business in Leeds to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their team. This newly created key role involves managing a small purchasing team and driving cost savings and efficiencies within the supply chain while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and sustain strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers.
* Evaluate spending and profit margins across multiple categories, leveraging relationship management skills to negotiate cost-effective deals that meet quality standards.
* Oversee daily purchasing operations, ensuring profitable procurement for both stock and non-stock sales orders.
* Analyse market trends, forecast demand, and proactively mitigate risks to enhance procurement efficiency.
* Establish and maintain an approved supplier database, objectively measuring performance against OTIF and quality benchmarks.
* Ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
* Identify and implement enhancements to purchasing systems and processes.
* Lead and manage the Purchasing Team, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and driving team development.
Hours:
Full time, Monday – Friday
Required Skills & Experience:
* 3 years of purchasing experience in similar roles.
* Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
* Ability to lead a small team.
