What's involved with this role: Role: Operations Manager Job Ref: QAD 3205/2802 Pay Rate: Approximately £285.81 per day PAYE Hours per week: 37 hours per week Contract Length: Anticipated 12 months Location: Helensburgh Operations Managers – Customer Liaison Team We are seeking highly motivated Operations Managers to join a Customer Liaison Team (CLT and support SSBN and SSN Base maintenance periods. These roles are crucial in ensuring the timely provision of stores support, proactive demand forecasting, and mitigation of stores-related delays. Available Positions 5 x Positions: Supporting the full range of Customer Liaison Team services, ensuring effective stores support for submarine maintenance periods, and minimising delays to Base Maintenance Periods (BMP). 1 x Position: Focusing on alternative procurement strategies to enhance team agility in responding to emergent demands with tight delivery windows. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with ship staff, EBS maintenance managers, and inventory teams to understand demand requirements and ensure timely stores support. Inventory Management: Interrogate LOG Inventory systems to determine stock availability and demand progression. Delivery Coordination: Engage with inventory managers to obtain delivery forecasts for non-available stores for maintenance and operational defect (OPDEF) needs. Alternative Procurement: Identify and implement bespoke procurement approaches to address urgent demands outside normal supply chain routes. Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and interpret data to identify trends, risks, and issues, providing performance reports as required. Key Requirements Stakeholder & Customer Service Experience: Proven ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, delivering high-quality customer service. IT Proficiency: Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). Analytical Skills: Ability to review and interpret data to support operational decision-making. Customer Services Experience: Background in customer service or logistics with a strong focus on service delivery.
