We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a team at a vibrant school. The successful candidate will inspire students across [KS3/KS4/KS5] to develop their confidence, performance skills, and appreciation of theatre. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant performing arts department and make a lasting impact on students' creative development. This role begins March 2025.
Duties of a Drama Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons that develop students' acting, directing, and stagecraft skills.
* Teach a range of performance techniques and theatre styles.
* Prepare students for assessments, performances, and external examinations.
* Direct school productions, drama clubs, and extracurricular performances.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel confident expressing themselves.
* Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as English and Music, to enhance cross-curricular learning.
Ideal Drama Teacher:
* A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Drama at [Secondary/A-Level] level.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* A passion for theatre and performance as a Drama Teacher.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
