Hybu Llanymddyfri-Llandovery is looking for a part-time film coordinator to assist with their new cinematic project in 2025, featuring Welsh language films and films covering energy alternatives and sustainability. Job Description
Part-Time Manager/ Assistant - Part-Time 10 months (March to December 2025). Fee £3,940.00
There is an allocated budget for the following to be delivered between March and December 2025:
1. 7 Monthly films: showcasing Welsh-language films and promoting Welsh heritage.
2. 3 Quarterly environmental documentaries
3. Welsh Language Marketing Materials
4. Event Supplies
5. Transport Subsidies for Low-Income/Rural Residents
6. Venue Hire
7. Survey Tools & Evaluation Assistance
8. Speakers Fees
9. Free desk space is available at Hybu’s office at Llandovery Youth & Community Centre in Llandovery.
Objectives
* Cultural and Linguistic Diversity: Showcase Welsh-language films and promote Welsh heritage through quarterly themed film nights.
* Environmental Awareness: Present films addressing energy alternatives and sustainability in partnership with local environmental groups Llandovery Climate Group, Bwrlwm and Ynni Sir Gâr.
* Accessibility: Make cinema affordable for low-income families through reduced ticket prices, accessible screenings, and transport support.
Activities
* Screenings and Film Festivals: Regular screenings of Welsh and international films with themes on sustainability.
* Outreach: Work with Llandovery Youth & Community Centre to reach underserved groups, using Welsh-language materials to engage Welsh-speaking communities.
* Environmental Series: Screenings and discussions focused on sustainability with local energy advocates.
