PRS Recruitment is currently looking for a Mechanical Shift Engineer for a large commercial building located in North West London. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased (NVQ, C&G, etc.) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on-site, you will be required to carry out M&E Maintenance across this site. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £48,000 for further training and career progression.

Duties:
1. Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Lead or Supervisor.
2. Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
3. Be proactive regarding preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.
4. Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
5. Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records and documentation associated with the mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
6. Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work, and associated mechanical systems or as directed.
7. Carrying out daily PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks.
8. Carrying out daily emergency callout tasks.
9. Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract.
10. Administer sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
11. Completing logbooks and RAMS.
What we're looking for:
An experienced Mechanical Technician working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service this is a role for you.
You will hold current qualifications to work as a Mechanical engineer including:
1. NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 (Building Services or Mechanical discipline)
2. To be conversant with electrical and HVAC plant related building services PPMs carried out in-line with SFG20 and resulting reactive work
3. Competent working knowledge of Air Conditioning, Air Handling Units, Building Management Systems, Cooling Towers, Cold Water systems, Fan Coil Units, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment and Emergency Generators
