Job Overview
We are pleased to advertise a fulltime 7-8a post based at our PICU in Hull due to recent reconfigurations. We are investing in the psychology team to enhance the provision and create a robust and joined-up clinical provision across the acute care pathway.
This new team will enable the post holder, alongside their colleagues, to influence and steer the individual service user recovery journey from initial telephone call, to assessment and intervention.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping and improving the service user journey in PICU. Your direct clinical work will be located at the PICU where staff support will also be an equally important focus in terms of providing reflective practice groups, devising formulations with the MDT, training, supervision, and consultation.
You will be providing assessment of need and risk, formulation, and intervention for the service users accessing our acute inpatient treatment service. Staff support is a fundamental part of the role in providing clinical leadership within the unit and supporting psychologically underpinned multi-disciplinary care.
As a team, you will work together to provide trauma-informed care to people accessing the service, liaising closely with your community, out-of-area provider, and inpatient colleagues, sharing formulations and devising care plans that support transitions between community and inpatient settings.
Your role will be to support the Principal Psychologist in overseeing and developing psychological provision pathways in the acute care pathway.
