Trial Balance consulting have been approached by a highly reputable and longstanding business to help them find an experienced Finance Manager to be based in their Totnes office. The business has enjoyed a period of sustained growth and as such are one of the few businesses that have double their headcount in the past 12 months. The company promotes a friendly and modern working environment and offers multiple financial/non-financial benefits in addition to a generous base salary. There are multiple revenue streams and departments within the company and as such the successful candidate will need to operate from the office full time.
This is a broad, interesting and challenging opportunity where the successful candidate will work to collate both analytical and management information to paint a detailed, yet transparent picture of the company’s true financial performance. Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a small finance team
2. Ensuring that all company bookkeeping and payroll activities are completed on time
3. Preparing Management Accounts and other financial documents
4. Ongoing development of systems and procedures and recommending improvements where needed
5. Furnishing both Managers and the board with clear financial data
What we’re looking for: Candidates with a good knowledge of general bookkeeping and business management information. The right person will possess superb Excel skills as well as great interpersonal and communication skills.
