About the role, what will I be doing?
* Participates with certain independence and responsibility in preparing dishes under the supervision of their immediate superior. Makes basic food preparations and any other food preparations assigned to them.
* Prepares and/or completes dishes for which they have received appropriate training.
* Keeps cold stores and refrigerators in their area tidy and well-organized to ensure the correct use of products.
* Checks that they have all the equipment and products required to do their duties, managing them appropriately to avoid waste and any losses.
* Performs all the duties assigned by their immediate superior in an efficient and timely manner, complying with all the defined specifications and procedures.
* Handles all operating equipment with extreme caution during transportation to avoid accidents, spillage or breakages, complying at all times with safety regulations.
* Complies with cleanliness and hygiene procedures and standards in the performance of their work, ensuring the quality and reliability of the dishes prepared.
* Ensures that the products used in preparations meet the quality, quantity and performance standards, reporting any anomaly or defects to their immediate superior.
* Immediately informs their superior of any issues that occur during their work that may affect service.
* Implements all the instructions and work assigned to them by their immediate superior as well as the responsibilities the position requires.
* Complies with the HACCP criteria defined by the company.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 3 years in professional hospitality leadership within a similar high-energy, high-volume environment.
Culinary Expertise: Mastery of cooking techniques, sauces, stocks, and product identification. Skilled in fabricating meats, fish, and poultry, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of pastries and Garde Manger.
Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, train, and motivate a team while maintaining a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment.
Organizational Skills: Strong understanding of inventory management, scheduling, and cost control.
Passion: A commitment to culinary excellence and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
