Gas Trade Supervisor Basildon – South Essex £45,764 - £48,172 per year 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm We have an opportunity for an experienced Gas Trade Supervisor to join our Gas team, based in South Essex. The role involves delivering a high-quality Gas Operations Service that meets contract and service specifications along with customer expectations. You will be responsible for managing a team of gas engineers and apprentices carrying out domestic gas servicing, repairs, installations, callouts and voids gas work. Some oil and renewables work will also be covered. Day to day duties will include helping and supporting the gas engineers and conducting quality audit checks with a mixture of office and home working, visiting engineers in the area. A van will be provided for travel and training will be given as and when required. The role of Gas Trade Supervisor will include: Supervising the carrying out of construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications. Assisting in the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure required skilled staff available to fulfil contract and service specifications, in line with customer expectations. Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications. Managing the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately. Assisting operational staff in resolving difficult problems, ensuring customers are kept informed, in line with agreed processes and in accordance with contract and service requirements. Managing resources effectively, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained by staff and stock requests are within agreed budget. Preparing quotation and tender documentation as required, to meet customer expectations and to win new business where appropriate. Contributing, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives. Skills and experiences: To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, Gas Auditing Qualification, HTR1, STAR Training, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS), currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group. Experience in the managing of staff Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing complex problems and implementing effective solutions Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation Previous experience working in a social housing setting is essential This role will involve driving on company business.
