As a Production Lead on the 2nd Shift (4pm to 12pm), you will lead a team to ensure efficient production flow, adherence to quality standards, and continuous improvement in a safe, clean, and organized environment. You will be responsible for shift leadership, team development, performance management, and driving operational excellence aligned with TE Connectivity's values and safety policies. Key Responsibilities - Lead by example, maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. - Monitor and ensure team adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction metrics. - Track and drive performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in quality, cost, and delivery. - Collaborate with planning and support teams to resolve production, resource, or scheduling issues. - Deliver clear, consistent communication through shift briefs and team meetings. - Manage team performance through coaching, appraisals, and performance development plans. - Champion and enforce safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies. - Identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques. - Oversee implementation of engineering changes, new product introductions, and production trials. - Coordinate with maintenance for timely resolution of machinery and equipment issues. - Promote Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to enhance equipment uptime. - Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve customer concerns and eliminate root causes. - Ensure compliance with internal and external audits and quality standards. Your ideal background - Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to meet operational goals. - High level of numeracy and data-driven decision-making ability. - Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. - Flexible and resilient with the ability to adapt to changing demands. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant production systems. - In-depth understanding of customer expectations, quality standards, and cost implications. - Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement practices is highly desirable.
