Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with a fantastic school in Hemel Hempstead.
About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant through Teaching Personnel, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them access the curriculum effectively. Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide both in-class and one-to-one support, ensuring that all students can reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist students with a range of learning needs, including those with SEN and additional support requirements.
* Provide individual or small group support both inside and outside the classroom.
* Help students with tasks, organization, and emotional or behavioral support.
* Support young and vulnerable children with their physical needs due to their disabilities, providing personal care when required.
* Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning plans for students.
* Support students in developing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.
* Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with children, particularly in educational settings, is highly desirable but not essential.
* A positive, patient, and proactive attitude towards working with students with a variety of learning needs.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.
* A willingness to learn and adapt to the individual needs of each student.
* A current DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
* Previous experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or other SEN is a plus.
