About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Project Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing on-site engineering activities, ensuring that project specifications, health & safety compliance, and technical requirements are met. This role is based on-site across London and the South East, with occasional travel required. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Site Manager and commercial team to ensure smooth project execution. Manage QA processes, conducting as-built surveys and maintaining site documentation. Oversee site setup and compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures. Perform all setting out duties, including pipework, plant locations, and penetrations, ensuring precision in project execution. Raise and resolve technical queries, addressing design and specification issues promptly. Ensure work is completed as per Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), including engineering checks, hold points, inspections, and tests. Support labour teams by clarifying design specifications and technical requirements. Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including site diaries, QA documentation, as-built surveys, red-line drawings, and test results. Maintain constant communication with the commercial team, providing detailed reports for accurate financial tracking, including compensation events (CEs) and early warnings (EWs). Oversee and manage the snagging process, ensuring all outstanding issues are documented and resolved. Minimise waste on-site and promote efficient resource utilisation. Identify and implement process improvements, new techniques, and innovative solutions to enhance site operations. What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with MEICA contractors in a project engineering capacity. Degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualification) or relevant time-served trade experience. Valid CSCS card. Desirable Skills & Experience: SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
