About the Role: We are a modern law firm specialising in domestic conveyancing, wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries. Our conveyancing team are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join their successful and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our young team of Solicitors and paralegals handling a broad range of residential property transactions. We’re looking for a special person to bring a depth of experience to our collaborative and supportive conveyancing team. Key Responsibilities: You will provide essential administrative and technical support to the Residential Property team, including: Technical Duties: Producing, amending, and formatting legal documents with accuracy and efficiency. Proofreading and preparing documents. Utilising software like Scotlis, Lender Exchange, Denovo and other third-party platforms. Applying for property searches and liaising with providers. Preparing and submitting LBTT and Land Registration forms. Typing, dealing with correspondence, and liaising with clients/other side Solicitors. Managing fee earners diaries, booking and arranging appointments and meetings, organising mail and emails, photocopying and typing. Experience / Skills Required: Extensive previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in a Residential Conveyancing team. Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities. Strong IT skills (Word, Excel and experience of a case load management system). Excellent spelling and punctuation. A positive, adaptable approach to teamwork and client service. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
