Commercial Finance Manager – EV & Energy 37.5 hours p/w (Mon-Fri) Hybrid: 2 days in Toddington HO An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest Motorway Service Area operator in the UK as a Commercial Finance Manager in a newly created role due to sustained growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and successful Private Equity-backed business, within the rapidly changing environment of the EV and Energy team – working to deliver on Moto’s top strategic priority “Leading the transition to clean energies”. Reporting into the Financial Controller – EV & Energy, you will be supporting the senior team with setting the direction of the power ownership and energy procurement strategy, through financial modelling and data analysis. This will include helping to guide policy, supporting business decisions, and informing negotiations. As Moto’s EV and Energy offering matures over the coming years, this role will support on all finance activities relating to funding, procuring, and owning grid connections and alternative energy sources. The role will also cover Moto’s activities in the electrification of road freight (eHGV). As the EV and Energy business grows, the role will evolve with it – with progression in-mind. Potential on target bonus of 20% Car allowance, with the option to take advantage of Moto’s EV salary reduction scheme Up to 60% discount for you, your partner as well as your family and friends Enhanced benefits, including maternity, paternity, pension, sick pay and life assurance Fabulous training and development opportunities including funding qualifications You will be responsible for Ownership of Power and Energy business unit reporting, month-end close and management information Analyse and conduct due diligence on project (financial) information including: financial reports, financial models and projections, and asset data Build and operate long-term financial models across numerous strategic scenarios Research into industry trends and dynamics, particularly gaining an appreciation for the interplay between Power, Energy (both Grid and Solar on supply side), and EV/eHGV customer behaviour on the demand side Assist in preparing documents including; presentations, operational reporting, investment appraisals, information memoranda and reports Assist with debt cashflow and covenant compliance modelling where necessary Liaise with other parties (legal, diligence) and manage process timelines including key deliverables Build knowledge of EV and Energy markets (e.g. Current activity, key players, trends) Actively engage and support in relationship management with eHGV Charge Point Operator (CPO) partners What we're looking for: ACA, CIMA, or Analyst Programme qualified, or equivalent Advanced Excel modelling skills, incl. Power Pivot/Power Query BI tool experience is desirable, must have an interest and willingness to learn (PBI / Tableau) Able to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organisation Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently Exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) INDLP
