To succeed in this position, we expect you to have recent IT support experience, ideally in a customer-facing role providing both hardware and software assistance while maintaining a high level of customer service. You should be available to start immediately and be open to ongoing work. Experience in the education sector would be a plus, as well as being on the DBS update service.
Responsibilities
As an IT Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide IT support to end users at the college, including both staff and students. You will also be involved in supporting the delivery of IT projects managed by the college. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, your tasks will include:
1. Supporting hardware and software
2. Networking
3. Specific educational technologies
4. Building hardware
5. Installing and updating software
6. Responding to IT requests
7. Introducing new technologies
8. Facilitating on-site exams
9. Maintaining IT equipment to ensure efficient operation and performance
Job Details
This role is set to start as soon as possible, initially on a temporary basis expected to last at least 1–3 months. In return, we offer a daily rate between £130 and £140, depending on your experience, along with the opportunity to develop your skills through exposure to new technologies and systems in the education sector.
