THE ROLE HR COORDINATOR Location - Leeds The HR Coordinator will join an existing team of 3, reporting into the HR Operations Manager and working closely with HR Advisors and Business Partners. They will be a key point of contact for employees across the business. Responsibilities include: Preparing contracts of employment for new employees Be the main contact during the onboarding process for new starters including confirming start date, pre-employment checks, making arrangements with IT, co-ordinate first day arrangements, inputting details into HR systems and holiday calculations Ensuring tight governance surrounding HR data and processes including auditing files and chasing missing documentation Co-ordinating the Induction for new employees and supporting the HR Advisors during the Induction meetings Working with the HR Operations Manager and wider team to find ways to optimise and improve processes to enhance team members' experience of the HR department and life within AAB Teams Maintain and update the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and other relevant systems, including electronic employee files ensuring data accuracy through regular review Support with absence management including adding sickness data onto the HRIS, signposting team members and managers to absence policies and procedures, ensure absence data is accurately recorded in the HRIS and return to work dates and documentation are received and filed Support team by pulling reports and helping with analysis of the data Support with payroll administration including administering any changes onto the HRIS Monthly creation of payroll files and assisting with payroll queries Working with your HR Coordinator colleagues, monitor the HR helpdesk and answer employee queries escalating more complex queries appropriately Offboarding process administration, including resignation acceptance letter, updating IT, inputting leaver details onto HR software and final holiday calculations Handling all HR administration, including all letters, providing HR update emails, preparing reports for the team as requested Supporting team with projects including M&A activity and D&I agenda Skills & experience Demonstrable experience of working as a Coordinator in an HR function Excellent organisational and time management skills Excellent stakeholder management Keen eye for detail and accuracy Ability to remain resilient, calm and measured particularly during busy periods and when dealing with conflicting priorities Proactive with a can-do attitude Passionate about HR and strong customer service ethos IT Systems oriented who can easily grasp understanding of the HR system.
