My client is looking for experienced Maintenance Supervisors who are interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. The successful candidate will supervise the maintenance employees and contractors to ensure the site operates safely at all times and within the guidelines of company policies and procedures. Working at one of their key sites, Long Marston, the candidate will be part of a team under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
2. Risk assessment of maintenance jobs by staff/contractors
3. Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and warehouses
4. Complete an agreed target number of safety conversations per month
5. Perform toolbox talks with direct reports
6. Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, driving improvement in Health and Safety
7. Liaise and maintain regular contact with the Maintenance Manager
8. Provide holiday/sickness/absence cover for the Maintenance Manager
9. Complete performance reviews for direct reports
10. Support and develop maintenance team members
Maintenance:
11. Create and administer the weekly plan (mechanical/electrical, corrective/preventive)
12. Maintain warehouses and booking in/out of parts
13. Coordinate suppliers, including raising POs for parts and services
14. Ensure availability of parts/critical spares
15. Ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance if required
16. Perform such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require
17. Comply with all company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Community
