As Social Media & Marketing Executive at The Holiday Inn Blackpool, you will be responsible for managing, creating and curating engaging content across all our social media channels. You will play a key role in enhancing our brand image, increasing our social media following, and driving direct engagement with potential guests, aligning social media strategies with overall business objectives and seasonal campaigns, (which will include Holiday Inn, Platform 9 & Marco's New York Italian)
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING EXECUTIVE AT THE HOLIDAY INN BLACKPOOL
* Produce high-quality, on-brand content (photos, videos, stories and written copy) for all social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X. LinkedIn and TikTok. Ensuing content is consistent with the hotel's voice, style and standards
* Create engaging content that showcases the hotel's unique offerings, including rooms, dining, Starbucks, meetings and events
* Develop and execute social media strategies that align with the hotel's marketing goals, targeting both local and international audiences
* Collaborate with the Commercial team to design and execute promotional campaigns, competitions and special offers across social media channels
* Ensure all marketing materials adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, including GDPR compliance for email campaigns
* Monitor and engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner. Build and nurture an active online community to foster customer loyalty and enhance brand reputation
* Identify and collaborate with influencers and local businesses to increase visibility and promote the hotel's offerings through partnerships and brand collaborations
* Collaborate with external agencies, photographers, and influencers to create engaging content and partnerships
* Support the wider hotel team on social media best practices and brand representation
* Track social media performance using analytics tools and provide regular reports on engagement, growth, and ROI. Use insights to continuously improve social media strategies
* Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools and best practices, ensuring the hotel remains competitive in a constantly evolving digital landscape
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Previous experience in social media management, ideally in the hospitality or tourism industry
* Strong knowledge of social media platforms, their features, and best practices
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for details
* Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
* Creative mindset, with the ability to create visually appealing and engaging content
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* A passion for the hospitality industry and an understanding of the importance of online reputation
* Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe Photoshop)
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
* Team player with a willingness to help others
* Flexibility with working hours which may include evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed by the business
