Chew-On-This is a fast-growing, dynamic UK-based food and beverage Group with 8 restaurant brands spanning across UK and we are on the hunt for a talented Chef de Partie/ Wok Chef.
If you love stir-frying with a wok and possess a flair for it, we want YOU on our team as a Chef de Partie/Wok Chef ! As our quick-service restaurant is Asian-influenced, you will ideally have experience working with Oriental styles of cooking, however, full training will be provided.

For this position, you should preferably have a fair knowledge of Southeast Asian (namely, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong) culture and cooking methods, particularly with the Chinese wok. You should be organised and have great attention to detail. You should also love working in a fast-paced restaurant and enjoy the challenges that come with it. Your Role as Chef de Partie/Wok Chef:
Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurants opening.
Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to that point in the line.
Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal.
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods.
Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift.
Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is cooked in a timely manner.
Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment.
Your Experience:
Previous experience working as a line cook or CDP/Wok Chef in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
Knowledge of Southeast Asian food preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Your Skills:
Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various Southeast Asian cooking methods - stir-fry, steam, braise, grill, fried.
Skilled with wok and all other kitchen equipment and utensils.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
