About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children Support Workers to join our team in the Leeds Area (LS9, LS13, LS18, LS23, LS28). As a support worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and assistance to children .
Rate: GBP 12.21 / hour
Hours: Dependent on the client
Reed Community Care is committed to its clients and staff to provide the highest possible level of care and support. You will be backed by a dedicated team of care professionals at all times and will have access to free training and 24/7 on call service.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Commit to your shifts and ensure continuity of care year round
* Follow the care plan, be punctual and responsive
* Supporting individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence and well-being.
* Assisting with personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation.
* Implementing behaviour management strategies to address challenging behaviours.
* Building positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Experience: Previous experience working with children and adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Care
* Must have at least 6 months UK care experience and Right to work in the UK (No sponsorships available)
* An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service – Should you need to apply for a new DBS we can support you with this.
* An up-to-date CV with all employment history
* To be able to commit to an assignment, to ensure structure and stability for our service users.
* Skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy and understanding approach.
* Availability: Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Transport: Drivers preferred, but not mandatory
