Thames Valley Surveying is a well-established independent building surveying and architecture practice based in Reading.
We are proud that our team provide a high level of professional service to our clients, whilst delivering a personal service tailored to their requirements. This has promoted the organic growth of the business, which is why we are seeking a Building Surveyor to join our team.
Our client base is predominantly within 30 miles of Reading and includes local authorities, schools, higher education providers, commercial landlords and tenants and residential block managers.
We provide a range of services including project work (design, project management, contract administration) and professional (surveys, dilapidations, party wall).
Job Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to progress their career and work independently in a well-supported environment. We are keen to find the ‘right’ individual for our team to continue to support our clients and provide an excellent level of service.
You will play a key role in the business providing expert advice while building and maintaining client relationships.
The role will encompass a wide range of services as a building surveyor, however we are particularly looking for somebody with experience of project work and good technical knowledge to help deliver projects to an exceptional standard.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
* Membership of RICS (MRICS) is desirable.
* Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in building pathology, construction, and regulations.
* Experience of administering common construction contracts
* A drive to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in using relevant software and technology.
Working hours can be flexible, with home working also possible.
