Job Description
OBM are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (Receipts) on behalf of our oil and gas service provider client based in Aberdeen. This is a contracted role for 8 weeks.
The successful candidate will check and sign for, accurately identify, and cross reference and receipt material within the Warehouse facility in a safe and timely manner. Completing all aspects of the returns function
Role & Responsibilities
* Accurate inspection of material and cross reference to Clients SAP system and Vendor Paperwork, completing GR of material for on pass to next location.
* Offloading and loading of material, ensuring all deliveries comply with Company and the Clients standards and are correctly stored prior to receipt.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts to assist with the efficient operation of PO receipts and control of material.
* Maintenance and preparation for shipment functions in line with agreed procedures.
* Accurately use clients SAP system.
* The accurate completion of all documentation pertaining to the shipment of material.
* Awareness of Dangerous Goods and requirements for shipment, handling, and storage of dangerous goods.
* Regularly read and understand procedures.
* Review and/or comply with work aids and risk assessment control measures.
* To contribute and raise safety observations.
* Accurately use clients SAP system.
* Always contribute toward High Standards of Housekeeping being maintained within the Yard areas.
* Ensure that all procedures, standing instructions and safety standards are always complied with.
* Ensure compliance regarding legislative standards as required by company and client procedures including Oil and Gas Best Practice, HMRC, IMDG, COSHH etc.
* Ensure the correct use of Forklifts and Lifting equipment as set out in legislative and procedural policy; If authorized to carry out lifting activities (Forklift Operations / Banksman & Slinger duties), ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Company's Lifting Equipment Control and Operation Procedures (LECOP)
