Role Overview Supporting the Bupa Clinics Technology and Change and assist in managing the intellectual property of IT systems and how they support the business needs across a defined and assigned area of the business. Core knowledge is maintained within the team and individuals. Ensuring our applications are secure and functionally fit for business purpose. What you’ll do: Assists in gathering, analysing and managing business requirements, translating requirements into solution options. Liaises across BG UK IT to develop solutions through to delivery Supports the definition, documentation and maintainenance of relevant designs and intellectual property on a defined area of the Bupa estate Protects Bupa and Customer data through supporting the managing an agreed area of the application and data estate and resolving security issues and meeting data retention and protection standards Interacts with and influences colleagues. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. May supervise others or make decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects What you’ll bring: Business Analysis (BUAN-3) Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation. Assists in defining acceptance tests for these recommendations. Requirements Definition and Management (REQM-3) Defines scope and business priorities for small-scale changes and may assist in larger scale scoping exercises. Elicits and discovers requirements from operational management and other stakeholders. Selects appropriate techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements taking into account the nature of the required changes, established practice and the characteristics and culture of those providing the requirements. Specifies and documents business requirements as directed, ensuring traceability back to source. Analyses them for adherence to business objectives and for consistency, challenging positively as appropriate. Works with stakeholders to prioritise requirements. User Experience Analysis (UNAN-3) Identifies and engages with users/ stakeholders, defines relevant characteristics (e.g. “personas”) and describes users goals and tasks (e.g. as “user stories”). Describes the environment within which the system will be used. Identifies and describes requirements of users with special needs (e.g. resulting from physical disabilities). Consultancy (CNSL-5) Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates and recommends options, implementing if required. Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Seeks to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.
