HG are recruiting experienced Mechanical Assembly Technicians based in Manchester. The idea person will be responsible for: Assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, motors, and generators according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings. Interpret engineering drawings and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure precision and quality. Utilise your skills to manufacture and assemble conveyor products and machinery that meet rigorous industry standards. Requirements: Time served / apprentice trained desirable, but not essential. Engineering qualification or similar manufacturing assembly qualification preferred i.e. City & Guilds or NVQ 3 in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of assembling valves, pneumatics or pumps. Strong ability to work with small tolerances and a keen attention to detail. Able to work with and interpret CAD drawings to assemble machinery. Additional Duties: Participate in 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives. Contribute to layout and technical responsibilities within the team. Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4pm Friday's 7.30am - 3pm.
