Job Details We are looking for an innovative Geoscientist with Clastic Sedimentology experience to join our highly collaborative team Based in North Wales, you will utilize your geoscience skills to generate and interpret geological data while compiling and synthesizing results. With your knowledge of clastic sedimentology in an applied environment, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, taking responsibility for employing various techniques and processes to contribute to exciting projects. We are looking for individuals who are intuitive, inquisitive, and continuously strive to enhance our interpretations and processes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in utilizing a variety of techniques, software, and processes related to clastic sedimentology. They must possess the ability to independently and accurately generate and interpret data, as well as prepare professional reports within their specific discipline. Key Skills and Experiences Accurately generate and interpret data and prepare professional deliverables related to Clastic Sedimentology, notably: Undertake core description, facies analysis, and depositional modeling. Conduct petrographic analysis utilizing light microscopy, automated mineralogy (QEMSCAN) techniques, SEM, and XRD to assess detrital and authigenic mineralogy, phases of diagenesis, and controls on reservoir quality. Integrate core analysis and other geological data in assessing reservoir quality. Integrate multi-datasets in sequence stratigraphic analysis and both facies and reservoir quality mapping. Understand and integrate other technical disciplines to gain detailed subsurface insights. Ability to rapidly locate, digest, and compile information from different sources. Mentor/coach junior staff, providing feedback as required to aid their development. Understand the impact of data and technology and the potential for enhancements to address technical and commercial opportunities. Engage critically, practically, and creatively with current topics relating to geoscience through own research. Knowledge of the energy sector, including a keen interest in energy transition. Contribute to business development for Viridien Coordinate or manage projects involving diverse data and stakeholders Define and manage project deadlines. Support in the content creation and delivery of training programs. Contribute to client meetings, present internally and externally at conferences.
