As part of this we are looking for people with a strong background in Systems Design & Integration.
Our Systems Design Integration engineers are responsible for and have knowledge in: problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, physical & functional systems & product systems; performing technical analysis; verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. What you’ll be doing:
* Apply understanding of NSRP and wider Nuclear product operation, product systems, sub-systems and interactions. Integrate and manage interfaces.
* Design of systems using Systems Engineering principles including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to achieve optimum solutions at product and sub-system level.
* Applying knowledge of the importance of determining, managing & flowing system level requirements.
* Planning and management of product change, design technical approval and technical investigations.
* Verifying that the system meets the requirements and ownership of standardisation reports.
* Good inter-personal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with and influence all levels including the customer.
* Work with and coordinate extended (i.e. not necessarily co-located) multi-disciplinary teams.

* Bachelor's degree or master’s in engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and have an understanding of cross-discipline engineering concepts which include but are not limited to manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering and product definition.
* An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
* Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
* Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region. In the UK - attained/working towards Chartered status is preferred (and equivalent regional variations).

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently have this in place.
