Overview
An exciting employment opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Controller to join a well-established manufacturing company based near Swindon.
The Project Controller position provides a varied and interesting role, where every day is different as this market leading company manufactures a wide range of products from Benches, Picnic Tables to Cycle Shelters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Project Manager to manage customer projects whilst driving excellent internal and external communication.
2. Manage site delivery dates; coordinate vested products procedure where instigated.
3. Assist with customer contact to provide up to date information.
4. Check site to ensure readiness for installation.
5. Create RAMS packs, actively obtain competent sign off and timely sending to customer; maintain records.
6. Ensure Site Pack with all site documentation including required H&S documentation is prepared, checked and available on time to Site Teams.
7. Assist PCM with ensuring all Functions and customers are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules.
8. Lead process for customer complaints; record, analyse and report.
9. Liaise with the H&S Manager and H&S Consultant in the planning and documentation of audits and improvement actions for H&S processes.
10. Maintain accurate Project and Installation Plans in real time; maintain site install times and review improvement options.
11. Negotiate and agree site delay compensation where relevant with internal and external key stakeholders.
12. Proactively communicate on all aspects from handover from sales to project completion.
13. Review, propose and gain approval of appointment of subcontractors in line with purchasing SOP, Health and Safety Policy and Induction SOP.
14. Support the development of a Project Strategy in line with Company objectives and growth aspirations.
15. Update install cost analysis spreadsheet and enter data per project.
Skills, Attitude and Behaviour:
1. Confident, focused and driven to succeed, inspiring others.
2. Able to complete projects in a timely manner, and under pressure.
3. Construction site-based experience and knowledge (advantageous).
4. Knowledge of relevant and current H&S legislation (advantageous).
5. Ability to make decisions especially in challenging circumstances.
6. Experience with ISO standards (advantageous).
