10 months contract with a Local Authority Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior Data Officer to join the Homes for Ukraine Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, updating spreadsheets and databases, conducting DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks, processing payments, updating Power BI dashboards, and handling ad hoc duties as required. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. As a Senior Data Officer, you will provide vital assistance to the Project Lead and the Families Together Hub. You will need to be a highly organised, dynamic professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to support change management activities across the Council. Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): Support the Project Lead and Families Together Hub in the management of programme activities. Ensure that all aspects of the programme are addressed, considering the impact of changes on service delivery, staff, and internal/external stakeholders. Escalate any issues, risks, or concerns to the Project Lead while ensuring the programme progresses effectively and outcomes are achieved. Manage data and IT systems (including Foundry) and processes related to the Families Together Hub. Collate and analyse qualitative and quantitative data in support of the programme, liaising with teams across the Council, partner agencies, and the UK government. Monitor and report on performance, using local and national data, benchmarking against other local authorities and agency partners. Liaise with MCHLG (Ministry of Communities, Housing and Local Government). Organise workshops, drop-in sessions, and draft managers briefings. Respond to service user and staff questions and queries, conduct surveys, and report progress to managers. Represent the Families Together Hub at meetings where required, maintaining strong links with internal and external officers. Log, manage, and analyse information on the progress of the programme plan. Provide and present clear, concise, and accurate reports based on robust data analysis to aid decision-making. Lead key sub-projects and work streams under the supervision of the Project Lead. Provide expert advice to colleagues, using data to measure outcomes, inform decision-making, and improve service delivery. Skills/Experience: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in managing data and IT systems (e.g., Foundry). Proficiency in using Power BI to create and update dashboards. Proven experience in data analysis, both qualitative and quantitative. Experience in managing administrative tasks and processing payments. Experience in conducting DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues appropriately. Ability to lead and manage sub-projects and work streams. Experience in monitoring and reporting on performance using local and national data. Knowledge of the Families Together Hub or related programmes is desirable. Additional Information: Hybrid working.
