The Role: The role of Principal Planning Officer will provide a deputy role in an area based development management team. The role will have a wide caseload of applications including major applications. Delivery of a first class, customer focussed development management service The role of Principal Planning Officer will include signing off of planning applications and performance management ensuring that applications are determined in timescales and targets are met. You will also be required to act as deputy and include other duties such as team meetings, attendance at Planning Committee and assisting the Policy team with the Local Plan Your demonstrable knowledge as a Principal Planning Officer with extensive development management experience and also experience of supervising and managing a team This is a fixed term post to cover Maternity Leave.
