About the Role:
Hydrosave is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to provide maternity cover for up to 3 months,
supporting the Scottish Water operations network in the West region from our Bellshill office.
This role involves a mix of technical and administrative responsibilities, including generating reports, recording data on
spreadsheets, managing stock control, handling general administrative duties, and assisting with de-programming tasks to ensure
smooth and efficient operations.
* Update and maintain spreadsheets to accurately record savings, stock control, and key performance metrics, ensuring data
integrity and consistency across financial and operational reports.
* Attend meetings as required, providing administrative support, updates on relevant tasks, and taking detailed meeting notes.
Prepare minutes, follow up on action items, and provide regular updates and analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
* Track job progress and ensure alignment with operational goals by preparing and updating weekly and monthly performance reports
that reflect the team's and project's achievements.
* Analyse performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and actionable insights.
* Manage the deprogramming of hours worked by the technical team, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of staff hours.
* Maintain up-to-date records on staff hours, project timelines, and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations.
What you’ll need:
* Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret and analyse data, with experience in tracking and reporting key metrics.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with experience in database management and job
tracking systems.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present
information clearly.
* Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions, particularly in job raising and
performance tracking.
* Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with others, supporting team goals and contributing to overall success.
* Industry Experience: Experience in a similar role within the water industry is highly desirable, with a good understanding of
water network systems and leakage management.
