Your office base could be in Surrey, Oxford, Northants or Staffordshire.
In this standalone role, you’ll be responsible for providing HR guidance, support, and advice to both Directors and employees. Reporting to the Financial Director and assisting payroll with updates on joiners/leavers on weekly/monthly payrolls.
Initially, you’ll need to visit the 4 offices over a 2-3 month period to build relationships, but after that, it’ll drop down to “as and when” required for training, guidance, disciplinaries, etc.
Key areas will include:
* Build relations with, guide and manage key recruitment partners including MDs and Line Managers.
* Seek out and provide HR-related legal and professional advice.
* Ensure the group is compliant with UK employment law and HR legislation.
* Providing advice on ER cases.
* Ensure contract changes are correctly documented (e.g., in line with TUPE).
* Organise and maintain employee documentation/records throughout employment.
* Manage recruitment and onboarding processes.
* Involvement in and contribute across strategy, budget, headcount, and training – reporting to monthly board meetings.
* Manage annual pay reviews and twice-yearly performance development reviews.
* Handle yearly appraisal reviews, liaising with relevant Line Managers and feeding back.
* Work with MDs and Line Managers to allocate annual discretionary bonuses, providing advice on performance and attendance.
* Produce quarterly employee newsletter with Marketing Manager.
* Planning and organising employee events such as team building days, inter-group technical days, and training sessions.
