What you'll do
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer for Bean Generation Technologies, your responsibilities will be (But not limited to)
* Lead the design and integration of high-power RF systems for advanced linear accelerators for diverse medical products, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring excellence at every stage of the product lifecycle.
* Identify and implement emerging technologies with the potential to revolutionise the radiotherapy industry or provide a strategic competitive advantage.Design innovative solutions that meet the highest safety standards and adhere to the latest international regulations, driving forward the advancement of treatment modalities.
* Provide forward-looking vision and strategic roadmap construction for the domain, aligning with product lines and business objectives to drive future success.
* Coordinate development programs across medical product lines, collaborating with suppliers to achieve business targets effectively.
* Engage with senior stakeholders and principal systems engineers to define product and domain needs, ensuring alignment with overarching objectives.
* Analyze high-level requirements and refine them into detailed subsystem specifications, guiding multidisciplinary teams towards coherent and compliant system designs.
* Foster collaboration across domains and disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes, driving "first-time right" solutions and seamless integration.
* Identify competency needs and address skill gaps within the team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
* Contribute to the enhancement of Elekta's system engineering processes, leveraging industry standards and product knowledge to drive efficiency and excellence.
* Uphold Elekta's Code of Conduct, demonstrating ethical conduct and integrity in all professional endeavors.
The right stuff
* Demonstrated aptitude for strategic thinking and problem-solving with the ability to implement through others.
* Expertise in high-power RF systems and pulsed power electronics applicable to linear accelerators, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability in radiotherapy applications
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence (verbal and written). Ability to speak and present publicly.
* Lean-Agile mindset and adaptable working style.
* Strong in building and maintaining successful and effective working relationships with other colleagues in a global context.
* Personality based on strong ethical standards, values, and good judgment.
* Availability for international travel as required.
What you'll bring
* Degree in High Power Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physics or applicable technical/scientific discipline
* Senior leadership experience in building capabilities in the domain of high-power RF systems or linear accelerators for the purpose of beam generation at global level for market excellence.
* Experience in navigating the regulatory and compliance landscape for highly regulated technologies.
* Experienced in the application of system engineering practices.
* Medical sector specific knowledge is desirable, including ISO 13485, IEC 60601.
* Computer skills in Microsoft Office
