Overview: My client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual to join their team as a Structural Engineer. In this role, you will work closely with both the technical team, surveyors and clients to ensure adherence to established processes and standards throughout the surveying and construction processes. This role will be a remote position with optional office working in Central London or Manchester therefore our client requires a highly motivated, self-starter. Responsibilities: Assisting in the development of the business strategy relating to all aspects of the businesses structural engineering service provision. Providing technical input to review designs and detailing of new and existing structures. Attending projects and site inspections to review and report upon structural design and as-built construction in terms of compliance the best practise, EN and BS. Provide technical appraisals and carry out design reviews of projects for the purposes of Structural Defect/Latent Defect warranties. Assisting in the development of the business strategy relating to all aspects of the businesses structural engineering service provision. Assist in the delivery of consistent service and build effective relationships on all schemes. Work with company management to delivery project successfully to all stakeholders. The Requirements Qualified Engineer (CEng. MIStructE, or similar) and minimum degree (BEng/BSc/MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering or on route. In depth technical knowledge of Structural Engineering principles applicable to Building Regulations, British Standards, Eurocodes and other recognised construction standards. Basic understanding of general insurance principals and terminology desirable. Understanding of Building Regulations and associated legislation. The ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload within agreed parameters. Working knowledge of MS Outlook (email), MS Word, MS Excel. Demonstrable ability to use own initiative.
