Flexible Cover Supervisor – Part-Time Position in Lymington
A Unique Opportunity to Support Students with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
We are looking for a compassionate and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a specialist school in Lymington. This part-time role, from 8.45am to 4.45pm, offers a fantastic opportunity to work with students aged 11 to 18 who have autism and Asperger's syndrome. In this role, you will have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of students who need tailored support to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide supervision for students in the absence of their regular teachers, ensuring they are engaged with their learning in a structured and supportive environment. You will work closely with students, offering assistance with their academic tasks and helping to maintain a calm and positive learning atmosphere.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students in their individual learning journeys and ensuring they are able to access the curriculum
Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive attitudes towards learning
Offering additional support to students with communication and social interaction challenges, specific to those with autism and Asperger's syndrome
Assisting with the preparation of resources and supporting the teaching team when needed
Encouraging students to develop independence and resilience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
