Coastal Well-Being Team is a large and supportive team that enjoys mentoring team members and students and is passionate about delivering quality care to housebound patients.
We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Rehabilitation Support Worker to assist Occupational Therapists & Physiotherapists working under supervision in providing a ward and community-based therapy service to patients in Dawlish Community Hospital to promote faster recovery from illness, support timely discharge, and maximize independent living.
In your role, you will be skilled in sensitively ensuring patients are aware of their limitations and that all goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound. You will participate in the review or case conference of individual clients and contribute to the evaluation and development of their progress in reaching goals.
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will be part of the Inpatient Therapy team supporting the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist with rehabilitation programs for patients in Dawlish Hospital.
You will collect, collate, and record appropriate personally generated observations and report any significant changes that might be detrimental to the patient.
It is important to have good organizational skills in order to meet the challenges and work effectively whilst under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
Why work with us:
We work in an integrated way with allied health care professionals within the locality, making a difference and helping patients through their recovery and returning back to health and independence.
We are a motivated and caring team to both patients and colleagues. The team is flexible and promotes a healthy work/home life balance with the opportunity to work autonomously.
If you share our values and vision and are passionate about working with people on what matters to them, you could be a real asset to our Torbay and South Devon Team. #CareToJoinUsTSD
