Quality Manager
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts in Norwich. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive technical excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Investigations and Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into customer complaints, analyze trends, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are in place.
* Audit Readiness: Conduct routine audits and collaborate with production teams to maintain a high standard of audit readiness, fostering a "ready every day" culture.
* Product Quality Checks: Oversee product quality checks to ensure all output meets or exceeds customer expectations.
* Quality Management Systems: Maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all sites.
* Taste Paneling: Supervise daily taste paneling and confirm accuracy of quality attribute documentation.
* KPIs and Reporting: Compile and present site technical and quality KPIs in monthly reports.
* Traceability and Product Recalls: Coordinate and manage traceability exercises, product recalls, and withdrawal testing.
* Team Leadership: Inspire and lead the technical and hygiene teams, continually developing team capability.
* Technical Specifications and Audits: Update technical specifications and manage third-party and customer audits as needed.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Head of Manufacturing and Head of Technical to drive technical excellence across the board.
Requirements:
* Experience: Proven experience in a Technical or Quality Manager role within the food or beverage industry.
* Certifications: HACCP Level 3 certification (or higher) and experience with BRC or similar audit standards.
* Quality Assurance Knowledge: Strong quality assurance knowledge, with experience in customer-facing roles and people management.
* Operational Relationships: Ability to build strong operational relationships and work autonomously with attention to detail.
* Continuous Improvement: Internal Auditor training, with a desire for continuous improvement and an adaptable, positive outlook.
* Food Safety: Flexibility and a proactive approach in food safety situations.
