Job Description
* Developing, leading and executing strategic procurement plans
* Managing supplier relationships and monitoring their performance
* Analysing market trends and applying this knowledge to procurement tasks
* Ensuring procurement activities comply with organisational policies
* Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-reduction measures
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs
* Overseeing procurement projects and ensuring timely delivery
* Supporting the development and implementation of procurement systems
The Successful Applicant
* The ideal candidate for this Strategic Procurement role will have previous demonstrable experience of delivering Category plans for Capex Projects with an Industrial, Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret market trends
* Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships
* Knowledge of procurement systems and software
* Strong project management skills
* A professional or educational qualification relevant to procurement or qualified by experience
