Venator is currently recruiting for Process Operative, to join the CBX / Zinc team based at our Birtley site.
Reporting to the Birtley Production Team Leader, the successful candidate would have the following job responsibilities;
Job responsibilities:
1. To work to the manufacturing schedule, as directed by the Production Team Leader, in line with Process Specifications and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring the schedule is met and to report any non-conformances or risks to the schedule immediately.
2. To ensure that all the necessary batch samples (or standards) are physically taken and made available to quality control / analytical.
3. To ensure that required process control checks are performed during processing and that accurate records are maintained. Where possible, to take action to rectify any anomalies or uncertainties immediately and to inform the relevant personnel.
4. To assist the Production Team Leader in ensuring that routine stock control, cycle counting and stocktaking is undertaken regularly and accurately. All material, product and waste is properly identified and that product labelling, status and location are current and correct.
5. To maintain the CBX and Zinc Warehouse to the desired standard and ensure that all materials, both incoming and outgoing are controlled in the approved manner, including labelling and where appropriate sampling.
6. To ensure that all EHS and Production Based documentation is completed accurately in a timely manner. Participation in the resolving process, equipment or quality, and Health & Safety problems as quickly as possible and to maintain production continuity in a planned and safe manner.
7. To adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations including PPE, process equipment and L.E.V control measures, handling of hazardous materials and the safe disposal of waste products created by the manufacturing process.
Candidate requirements:
The role requires the job holder to have the following skills and experience;
Job-Related Work experience, Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
Essential
8. One to two years in a manufacturing environment.
9. Experienced in manual activities in a manufacturing environment.
10. Flexible.
11. Ability to input data and use computer data systems (training provided)
12. Ability to cope with workload under pressure.
13. Ability to work accurately and methodically, in a safe manner.
14. Ability to prioritise workload for self and teams.
15. Ability to work proactively and efficiently with the other shifts.
16. To be able to work successfully within a team environment.
Desirable;
17. Nationally recognised qualification in Production operations.
