FINTEC recruit is looking for a Wet Spray Painter for a precision engineering business in Buckingham. This is a permanent role with an hourly rate of GBP17.50 to GBP20.00 depending on experience, plus overtime at enhanced rates, and benefits such as healthcare, insurance, and contributory pension. Our client is a leader in the manufacture of high-quality sheet metalwork, supplying sheet metal components to a range of industries. You will have experience applying industrial paints on a range of metallic substrates of varying size, shape, and batch quantities to a high standard finish.
Hours of work: 40 hours, 07:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, finishing at 15:00 p.m. on Friday or earlier depending on hours worked, flexible on start/finish times.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparation & degreasing of metalwork prior to starting the painting process.
2. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, selection, and application of material specifications.
3. Perform equipment clean downs and maintenance.
4. Painting all parts to a high standard, efficiently and consistently to customer quality expectations and timeframes.
5. Packing of components.
6. Ensure safe working and correct use of PPE.
Skills and Experience required for the Wet Spray Painter:
1. Minimum of 5 years in a Spray Paint role working with sheet metal components or similar.
2. Eye for detail achieving and meeting company quality standards.
3. Experience of commercial stoving spraying paints and experience of Defence Standard Paint Systems is essential.
4. Ensure that tight deadlines are met.
