Job Description
Established, growing manufacturer of lighting products looking for an experienced Technical & Compliance Manager to join their senior management team.
Based in Portsmouth
Key Areas to Role:
1. To develop, consolidate and expand the business’ systems in the following areas:
1. Product quality
2. Business management through ISO9001
3. Health & safety
4. Environmental
5. Risk assessment procedures
6. Coach and develop the production team and resolve internal and supply chain quality issues:
1. Product Risk Assessments
7. Product Compliance Files
8. Product manuals technical content
2. Coordinate and prepare
3. Liaise with customers and supply chain around quality and specification issues.
Essential Attributes for a Successful Candidate:
1. A quality manager with experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering environment with a strong electrical/electronic background.
2. A candidate from within the lighting industry would be desirable.
3. Excellent communication, rapport building and people skills.
4. Positive attitude and strong managerial skills.
5. Work under own initiative.
6. Must be confident when dealing with customers and suppliers.
7. Must be able to juggle and prioritise many issues at once.
Someone comfortable with a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
