Job Overview
The position is a Group role, requiring work at both Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust and Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
As an Administrative Officer in Volunteer Services, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and the capability to work independently as well as in a team to support our volunteers and staff.
Main Duties of the Job
* Provide admin support to volunteers and coordinators, focusing on data collection and management.
* Oversee the recruitment of new volunteers, ensuring adherence to NHS guidelines.
* Maintain office standards, ensuring exceptional customer service.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software packages including Word, Excel, and databases.
* Manage the volunteer management software tool - Better Impact.
* Ensure accurate data recording and compliance by volunteers.

* Act as the point of contact for routine enquiries made to Volunteer Services.
* Liaise with clinical and non-clinical areas to promote volunteering opportunities.
* Produce monthly reports on volunteer utilization.
* Support coordinators in managing volunteers as needed.
* Maintain up-to-date training records for all volunteers.
* Ensure confidentiality is maintained in all communications.
Person Specification
Education, Training & Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
* NVQ3, RSA2, or equivalent experience.
* IT Skills - Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of Better Impact or equivalent management software.
Knowledge & Experience
* Experience in data entry and office environments.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of working within the NHS.
Skills
* Ability to plan and organize tasks effectively.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Able to maintain confidentiality.
