Pastoral Support Officer in Secondary Schools Location: England, Greater London, Clapham Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Job Duties: Provide emotional and pastoral support to secondary school students. Assist in managing student behaviour and well-being. Develop and implement strategies to support students facing personal challenges. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address student needs. Conduct risk assessments and safeguarding procedures. Required Qualifications: Relevant experience in a similar role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively work with young people. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience: Previous experience working in a school environment or with young people. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of safeguarding procedures. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in counselling or mental health support. Experience working with diverse student populations. Working Conditions: Work primarily in a school setting.
