CARETAKER
Band 4 point 12-17 £27,711 - £30,060 pro rata - Actual salary £24,783 - £26,884
35 hours pr week, Term Time plus three weeks (42 weeks per year)
This Post is primarily covering the hours of 11am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 42 weeks per year. Some flexibility within these hours may be required.
Brentwood School is an outstanding special school which specialises in the education of students with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. Our school benefits from fabulous facilities and is co-located with a post-19 college. Student numbers are set to increase over the coming years and an extension to the building is currently being constructed and is set to open in September 2025.
Due to the continuing growth of this highly successful school and college, we are looking for Caretaker who:
Is passionate about ensuring the health and safety of all students, staff and visitors is paramount
Is able to ensure that the building and grounds are maintained to the highest possible standard at all times (grounds work, painting and general repairs)
Has outstanding communication skills
Is innovative and dynamic
Understands the importance of teamwork
Is committed to excellence
Has the vision, skills and energy to provide the best opportunity for every student within our school and college
Will be prepared to work as a mentor to some students through completing work experience
We provide a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing CPD for all staff.
