We are looking for an underwriting assistant to join our team at Partners& Underwriting T/A Virtu in our Woking Office.

The purpose of this role is to provide administration support to the Private Client team to help Virtu deliver on SLAs and new business enquiries, enhancing service to a wide distribution of brokers.
Responsibilities
Support underwriters and senior underwriters in their role fulfilling the following responsibilities:
* Support underwriters with administrative duties and answer the phones on behalf of the team
* Manage data input on rate engines and insurer systems for new business and renewal cases
* Assist brokers with queries on new business and renewals
* Deliver pre-renewal and new business background and information to inform underwriters' decisions
* Responsible for document production and administration of renewals and midterm adjustments, within underwriting guidelines, binding authorities’ tolerance and agreed SLAs
* Assist underwriters in the production of monthly MI for underwriters to present to senior managers
* Attend meetings with brokers and insurers where required
* Responsibility for acting in good faith, avoiding foreseeable harm and helping consumers achieve their financial objectives.
Renewal Responsibility
* Accountable for the timely delivery of renewal documents to underwriters following Virtu’s internal renewal processes and binding authority parameters and where applicable issue renewals to brokers as per the Virtu dedicated SLAs
* Accountable for ensuring that all renewals firm orders are received by brokers prior to renewal and that the renewal spreadsheet is kept up to date.
* Build relationships with a network of brokers and insurers
* Competent in using online broker platform and accounting software
* Confident at answering the phones and responding to broker queries
* Continue to look for opportunities to learn and challenge understanding

Qualifications
Cert CII to be completed as part of the role.
* Entry level position with basic understanding of the London insurance market / High-Net Worth Household Insurance
* Administrative Skills
* IT competency
* Strong written and communication skills
* Well organised with strong attention to detail, including ability to prioritise workload
* A basic understanding of underwriting principles
* Ability to work under pressure
