If so, Academics are currently looking for someone to work as a Teaching assistant with a pupil who has additional learning needs in a large primary school in Newport. This SEN Teaching Assistant role starts after half term in February 2025.
Key responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant
Providing 1:1 support that is tailored to a KS1 pupil who has additional learning difficulties.
Assist this pupil with classroom activities including reading and basic numeracy and literacy tasks
Implement strategies to support the pupil inside and outside the classroom
Build and maintain a positive relationship with the pupil, their parents and staff within the school.

Requirements for an ALN Teaching Assistant
Experience working in an ALN setting
Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils
An enhanced DBS (We can assist you with the process)
Registration with the EWC (We can assist with the process)
Two recent and professional references
