About The Role Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on our Chelmer Waterside Project ; a site based role and the successful candidate will be located on the Project. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be part of ourProject Delivery and Commercial Teamwho are responsibleforthe successful delivery of the project in line with all commercial governance, processes and requirements of the contract. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, key responsibilities will include: Always assisting with the ongoing implementation of the commercial application in respect of site personnel whilst developing lasting relationships with Client, Business Unit and Project Managers. A heavy focus on end life project cost and value reporting. Management of change account, ensuring change is notified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract and proactively managed with the Client through to agreement. Actively enhance commercial awareness of the project team. Constantly refer to the project risk management plan for thorough, accurate, high-level risk assessment. Monitor the register and any related documentation in accordance with the plan. Ultimate responsibility for all sub-contractor procurement and account management. Preparation of tender enquiry documentation, assessment of returned tenders to provide robust recommendations for award and ensuring live accounts are managed in accordance with the terms of the Subcontract and/or Supplier agreements. Actively suggest and develop processes for increased accuracy and efficiency. Liaison with the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor(s) to ensure appropriate commercial cover is maintained. Assisting the team and Project Manager, Engineers and Planners with regard to recovery of contract costs together with enhancing project profit by identifying variations, delays and claims. Assist with production of monthly project financial and forecast to complete reports for analysis with Finance staff and Commercial Staff. Engaging with the Client using sound and balanced negotiating skills. Attending risk management, programme and progress meetings. Ensuring full and detailed contemporaneous records are maintained. Undertaking monthly reporting for both client and internal requirements, ensuring comprehensive variance analysis and positive cash collection.
