PART-TIME LOCUM CONSULTANT IN SPORTS AND EXERCISE MEDICINE
Applications are invited for a locum consultant post in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust (OUHFT). This is an exciting time to join SEM and Rheumatology at OUHFT and become part of a consultant workforce with a reputation for excellence. We are seeking enthusiastic colleagues who are trained in SEM and the interface with rheumatology in the management of complicated musculoskeletal conditions. The post offers integration with a large rheumatology department which has strong academic links to the University of Oxford.
We will support new colleagues in developing teaching and leadership roles. Research activities in the department are considerable.
The appointment is on a part-time basis.

Main duties of the job
The post-holders will be expected to undertake out-patient clinics in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre as well as developing and expanding clinical out-patient services in Oxfordshire, under the direction of the Clinical Lead of Rheumatology. There will be a strong emphasis on continuing to develop and implement non-face to face clinical encounters (telephone or video) in line with the long term NHS plan. We are charged with achieving a target of % of all consultations as non face to face.
