An opportunity has arisen for a Group Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services, this post is essential in providing strategic leadership and supporting our multi-disciplinary teams across the North Tees and Hartlepool and South Tees sites. You must be passionate about Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services and bring with you extensive knowledge and experience of Occupational Health Services within the NHS.
Main duties of the job
You will build on established services whilst developing and leading initiatives which ensure that our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service provision is aligned to our People Plan and meets the existing and emerging health and wellbeing needs of our colleagues across UHT.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Skills
* Significant Occupational Health specialist professional knowledge acquired within the NHS.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to Occupational Health and associated operational activities.
* Significant understanding and knowledge of current health and wellbeing challenges within the NHS workforce.
* Ability to interpret and evaluate data and evidence from multiple sources to develop informed plans and action.
* Able to effectively evaluate services and identify and develop improvement action, and develop operational plans aligned to service delivery model.
* Demonstrable business acumen.
* Knowledge of a number of disciplines including financial management, performance management, information systems, and staff management acquired through training and experience over an extended period.
* Highly developed specialist and technical knowledge across work procedures, underpinned by theory and significant experience.
* Highly developed management and leadership skills and experience.
* Ability to think and operate at a strategic level to contribute effectively to long-term improvements in People Directorate.
* Demonstrates strong commitment to action to achieve equality, diversity and inclusion in the workforce.
* Knowledge of national HR/People Plan strategy.
* Knowledge of current NHS policy and the direction of government policy in this regard.
* Demonstrable understanding of organisational development challenges agenda within the broader NHS.
Qualifications and Training
* Education to Master's level or have equivalent level of demonstrable experience working within the NHS.
* Highly specialised theoretical and practical knowledge acquired over a number of years.
* Evidence of continuous professional and personal development.
* Undertaken a formal/recognised leadership and management development programme.
Experience
* Significant experience of working within the NHS.
* In depth experience of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services and processes.
* Experience of designing and delivering effective programmes aligned to workforce need and strategy.
* Demonstrable management of change experience and engagement tools and techniques.
* Managing relationships and contracts with senior stakeholders.
* Highly complex data analysis.
* Management of large budgets and resource management.
* Experience of working across the wider/ regional NHS system.
* Development and implementation of workforce strategy and other business plans for an NHS or similar organisation.
